Yamaha Motor Philippines has launched a new campaign emphasizing safe and smart riding with the Mio Gravis, positioned as a sensible choice for mature, responsible riders riders.

The campaign began with “Ridecast by Yamaha,” a podcast-motorcycle ride activty. Hosts Mikee Reyes and Kiko Matos rode their Mio Gravis scooters to SM Megamall, discussing various motorcycle-related incidents and highlighting the importance of safe riding practices. Their conversation covered everything from traffic etiquette to making smart decisions on the road, and how the Mio Gravis supports safer decisions with its smart features.
Upon reaching SM Megamall, Reyes and Matos were greeted by a large, custom-built oven for a live cooking show led by culinary personality Ninong Ry. This setup was a playful yet pointed reference to the “kamote” label used to describe reckless and undisciplined motorists who disregard safety and proper road etiquette.
Through the cooking activity, Ninong Ry transformed the humble kamote (sweet potato) into a delicious dish, symbolizing the Yamaha campaign’s goal: to transform perceptions of riders and encourage safer, smarter choices on the road.
