Watsons has unveiled four new Greener Stores in Bonifacio Global City, marking a major step forward in its sustainability journey and raising the bar for eco-friendly retail in the country.

Following the successful debut of its first Greener Store in San Pedro, Laguna in June 2024, Watsons is expanding its green footprint with upgraded, energy-efficient locations at High Street Plaza, Eco Tower, Bonifacio Technology Center, and Forbeswood Parklane. These stores are designed to reduce carbon emissions, conserve resources, and minimize landfill waste, all while promoting sustainable shopping choices.

Each store integrates sustainable materials, LED lighting, inverter appliances, and eco-friendly fixtures. Watsons also offsets its energy use by purchasing Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) to support renewable energy sources.

Operational waste is sorted for recycling or upcycling, and some electrical components are repurposed to minimize waste. Additionally, all store fixtures can be reused and refurbished for other Watsons stores, further supporting sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

Through programs like Recycle for Rewards, customers are encouraged to bring in empty product containers in exchange for incentives.

Meanwhile, in-store signage and trained staff help educate shoppers about making more eco-conscious choices. To support this vision, Watsons offers a curated lineup of Sustainable Choices products featuring clean beauty, refill packs, and better packaging options.

Watsons continues to set new standards in health and beauty retail, with more Greener Stores in the works to drive a positive impact on the planet.
