Paramount Pictures has unveiled a new special look at Street Fighter, giving fans their first extended look at Jason Momoa’s feral take on Blanka as he faces off against Andrew Koji’s Ryu.
The one-minute “Blanka vs. Ryu Special Look” opens inside a prison controlled by M. Bison (David Dastmalchian), where the iconic green beast is unleashed against an imprisoned Ryu.
The clip showcases several of Blanka’s signature moves from the video game franchise, including his Electric Thunder attack and cannonball roll, before Ryu counters with a powerful Hadouken in the climactic moments.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter also stars Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma.
Set in 1993, the film follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken as they are drawn into the World Warrior Tournament by Chun-Li, only to uncover a deadly conspiracy that forces them to confront both powerful enemies and their own pasts.
Street Fighter opens in Philippine cinemas on October 14.
