As the demand for skilled HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technicians continues to rise, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has partnered with global consumer electronics leader TCL to help bridge the gap between training and industry needs.
The collaboration was formally sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement signing held at the newly built TESDA-TCL Center at TESDA Regional Training Center-NCR.

Through this long-term partnership, TCL will conduct technical training sessions and support job placement efforts for TESDA trainees, creating a clear enrollment-to-employment pathway. The initiative aims to provide aspiring technicians with real-world, hands-on experience using modern HVAC equipment, reinforcing the alignment of training programs with industry standards.
Central to the partnership is the establishment of a dedicated facility designed as a comprehensive launchpad for HVAC skills training. It houses two key areas: a fully functional hands-on training space and a modern lecture room, both outfitted with TCL appliances and technologies. Trainees will learn to assemble, install, and service TCL air conditioning units to help them develop practical competencies vital for fieldwork.

TCL is also donating modern appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, and air conditioners to enhance other TESDA facilities. This contribution will create better-equipped and more industry-relevant learning environments.
