As a special treat for fans on “Stranger Things Day”—November 6, the day Will Byers was abducted into the Upside Down in 1983—Netflix released a teaser confirming the series’ 1987 setting and offering a glimpse into the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.
The eight-episode final season will pick up shortly after the events of Season 4, which took place in March 1986. The episode titles are:
- The Crawl
- The Vanishing of…
- The Turnbow Trap
- Sorcerer
- Shock Jock
- Escape from Camazotz
- The Bridge
- The Rightside Up
While many details remain shrouded in mystery, the titles offer intriguing clues about the direction of the final season. For instance, “The Vanishing of…” suggests a significant character disappearance, and “Escape from Camazotz” hints at a potential confrontation with the terrifying demobats.
A few months ago, Netflix confirmed that several new faces will join the cast for the final season: Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Linda Hamilton.
Stranger Things 5 is coming to Netflix in 2025.
