What do you get when Sony crams Alpha-grade performance into a camera that fits in your palm?

You get the new Sony RX1R III, a compact powerhouse featuring a 61MP full-frame sensor, BIONZ XR image processor, ZEISS Sonnar T* 35mm F2 lens, and AI-driven autofocus. It’s built for pros who want top-tier quality without sacrificing portability.

The RX1R III delivers stunning image quality by combining a high-resolution back-illuminated sensor with Sony’s advanced BIONZ XR engine for better sensitivity, low noise, and a wide dynamic range. It skips the optical low-pass filter and adds an anti-reflection coating for even sharper, clearer results.

Even with a fixed lens, Sony adds flexibility through the “Step Crop Shooting” feature, letting you switch between 35mm, 50mm, and 70mm focal lengths with the press of a button or a twist of a dial. Want to get closer? Just flip to macro mode and shoot from as near as 20cm, with up to 0.26x magnification.

The same AI-processing unit used in Sony’s flagship Alpha models powers the RX1R III’s subject recognition and tracking—capable of locking onto faces, heads, eyes, and even full-body movement, even when your subject isn’t facing the camera. With 693 phase-detection autofocus points covering about 78% of the frame, focus is fast and accurate.

For creatives, the camera offers 12 built-in “Creative Looks” to match your vibe—whether you’re after nostalgic tones or bold color.

The camera’s magnesium alloy body is lightweight yet tough, while the redesigned grip, flat-top layout, and built-in electronic viewfinder make handling easy and comfortable. it is also equipped with a 2.36 million-dot XGA OLED electronic viewfinder

The RX1R III is priced at $5,099.99 in the US. No word yet on Philippine pricing availability.
