In a move to promote sustainable transportation, SB Finance, an affiliate of Security Bank, has partnered with electric vehicle distributor Cost Plus Inc. to offer financing for electric tricycles as part of the Kidlat Electric Vehicles program. This collaboration aims to help Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Associations (TODA) in Quezon City, Laguna, and Rizal transition to e-trikes.

The partnership offers a financing program called MotorsikLOAN, which provides TODA members with affordable options to purchase e-trikes. It will provide tricycle drivers with a chance to improve their livelihoods, reduce operational costs, and help them transition to a greener mode of transportation.

TODA members can benefit from long-term payment plans for e-trikes through over 100 Cost Plus Inc. branches nationwide.

The Kidlat Electric Vehicles program is aligned with the government’s efforts to promote sustainable transportation and provides a pathway for tricycle drivers to embrace eco-friendly alternatives.

Aside from e-trikes, SB Finance also offers financing options for rooftop solar panels. The loan, which provides up to P2 million worth of financing, enables borrowers to use the money for pay for the upfront cost of installing rooftop solar panels to their homes.
