POCO launches X8 Pro, X8 Pro Max, X8 Pro Iron Man Edition in the Philippines

POCO has officially unveiled its latest lineup in the Philippines, the POCO X8 Pro Series, which includes the POCO X8 Pro Max, POCO X8 Pro, and the POCO X8 Pro – Iron Man Edition.

The POCO X8 Pro Max makes a global debut as the first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset, part of the latest Dimensity 9000 series. Built on a cutting-edge 3nm process, it features a 4+4 All Big Core CPU design clocking up to 3.73GHz. The result is an impressive AnTuTu score of 3,085,998, placing it firmly in flagship territory. Paired with LPDDR5X RAM (up to 9600Mbps) and UFS 4.1 storage, the device promises ultra-smooth multitasking and faster load times.

Meanwhile, the POCO X8 Pro introduces the Dimensity 8500-Ultra Mobile Platform, delivering a 15.8% performance boost over its predecessor and a 25% increase in GPU performance, all while consuming less power.

Both devices support hardware-level ray tracing, bringing more realistic lighting and reflections to mobile gaming—a feature typically reserved for high-end systems.

Gaming and performance are further enhanced by POCO’s WildBoost Optimization, which intelligently stabilizes frame rates and reduces power consumption during demanding sessions. Features such as Smart frame rate, 1.5K super resolution, and Game HDR ensure smoother gameplay and sharper visuals, even in graphics-heavy titles.

Thermal management also gets a major upgrade. The POCO X8 Pro Max uses a 5,800mm² 3D IceLoop Cooling System that can reduce chipset temperatures by up to 3°C, while the X8 Pro employs a 5,300mm² dual-layer version—both designed to maintain peak performance under pressure.

The POCO X8 Pro Max packs an enormous 8,500mAh battery—the biggest ever on a POCO phone—good for up to two days on a single charge. It’s also built to last, keeping over 80% of its battery health after 1,600 charging cycles. For those who prefer something slimmer, the X8 Pro comes with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery that still delivers all-day (and then some) performance.

Both phones support 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging, plus smart charging features that help keep things safe and efficient.

The phones’ screens are bright and big. The X8 Pro Max stretches out to 6.83 inches, while the X8 Pro sits at 6.59 inches—both hitting 3,500 nits of brightness for clear viewing even outdoors. They’re also designed with comfort in mind, thanks to 3840Hz PWM dimming and triple TÜV Rheinland certifications.

In terms of design, the series keeps things clean but premium. You get metal frames, glass backs, and a fun touch of dynamic RGB lighting around the camera. Durability is equally impressive, with Gorilla Glass 7i and top-tier IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.

Built for clear, detailed shots, the POCO X8 Pro Series pairs strong hardware with AI enhancements. Both models feature a 50MP main camera and 20MP front camera, with the X8 Pro Max using a Light Fusion 600 sensor and the X8 Pro equipped with a Sony IMX882.

Creative tools such as UltraSnap and Dynamic shots make capturing motion easier, while video-to-live photo conversion and AI Creativity Assistant simplify editing.

The series runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and offers a smarter, more connected experience with features such as HyperConnect, Google Gemini, and Ticket Purchase Mode for faster online transactions.

POCO continues its Marvel partnership with the POCO X8 Pro – Iron Man Edition, combining flagship performance with a standout design. Inspired by Iron Man’s black-and-gold armor, it features gold accents and an Arc Reactor-style flash.

A custom-themed UI completes the experience, bringing a sleek, futuristic feel from startup to everyday use.
