Nestlé Philippines has joined forces with Mober, a frontrunner in green logistics services, to incorporate electric vehicles (EVs) into its mid- and last-mile delivery operations. This partnership underscores Nestlé’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 while advancing its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
As part of the initiative, Mober will supply electric trucks (e-trucks) to support Nestlé Philippines’ logistics needs in Metro Manila.
To ensure seamless operations, Mober has dedicated a 60kWh EV charging station at Nestlé Philippines’ Greater Manila Area (GMA) Distribution Center in Meycauayan, Bulacan. Powered entirely by renewable electricity, this station ensures that the EV fleet operates with zero carbon emissions.
Nestlé Philippines, which achieved 100% renewable electricity in all its sites two years ahead of schedule, has set ambitious sustainability goals, including halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieving net zero by 2050. The adoption of EV-powered logistics is a key step in advancing Nestlé’s Net Zero Roadmap.
Nestlé Philippines plans to expand its EV-powered logistics network beyond Metro Manila to more cities nationwide. By partnering with Mober, the company is exploring innovative ways to integrate green logistics into its supply chain without incurring upfront capital expenditures.
