Motorcycle taxi platform MOVE IT is leading the way in social protection for its rider-partners by becoming the first moto-taxi platform in the Philippines to subsidize Pag-IBIG Monthly Savings for its top-performing rider-partners.

The initiative marks a significant step toward improving access to state-backed welfare for workers in the growing mobility sector.

The program covers high-achieving MOVE IT riders in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro, selected based on strict service quality, safety, and productivity metrics. Qualified riders gain access to the full suite of Pag-IBIG Fund benefits, including affordable housing loans, short-term financing, and the high-yield MP2 savings program.

To apply, riders must link their Pag-IBIG Membership ID (MID) number to their MOVE IT profiles and submit their details through a dedicated in-app portal, which verifies their eligibility based on performance.

MOVE IT, in partnership with Grab, has also designated spaces for Pag-IBIG, SSS, and PhilHealth at the Asenso Center in Marikina—a central hub for driver onboarding and training. The center also offers “Social Protection 101” courses to educate two-wheel and four-wheel drivers on voluntary contributions for long-term financial security.

This move builds on Grab’s earlier rollout of Pag-IBIG subsidies for top GrabCar and GrabFood drivers in Q2 2025, underscoring both platforms’ commitment to improving the welfare of the country’s independent workforce.
