Following the launch of the new iMac with M4 chip, Apple has unveiled the new MacBook Pro, powered by the M4 family of chips that deliver groundbreaking performance and advanced capabilities. And like the iMacs, these MacBook Pros are built for Apple Intelligence.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro starts with the base M4 chip and features three Thunderbolt 4 ports and 16GB of unified memory. Meanwhile, those looking for more power can get the 14-inch and 16-inch models with M4 Pro or M4 Max. These models are equipped with Thunderbolt 5, allowing data transfer speeds of up to 120GB/s.

All models come with a Liquid Retina XDR display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits for SDR and up to 1,600 nits for HDR content, as well as an advanced 12MP Center Stage camera and up to 24 hours of battery life.

Additional features include an HDMI port, SDXC card slot, headphone jack, MagSafe 3 port, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and a Force Touch Trackpad.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip features a 10-core CPU, with four performance cores and six efficiency cores, and a faster 10-core GPU with Apple’s most advanced graphics architecture.

The MacBook Pro with M4 Pro delivers a significant performance upgrade, featuring a robust 14-core CPU with 10 performance cores and four efficiency cores. Additionally, it includes up to a 20-core GPU, offering twice the graphical power of the base M4 chip.

The MacBook Pro with the M4 Max chip is built for professionals—data scientists, 3D artists, composers—who demand top-tier performance to handle intensive workflows. M4 Max offers up to a 16-core CPU, a powerful 40-core GPU, and more than half a terabyte per second of unified memory bandwidth. Plus, with a Neural Engine that’s over three times faster than the M1 Max, it enables rapid on-device AI processing that allows users to tackle projects that once required a desktop setup.
