Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) recently opened Hyundai Makati, the country’s first authorized retailer and service provider of electric vehicles (EVs).

Situated in the automotive strip of Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Hyundai Makati has a five-vehicle showroom spanning 280sqm, and a 1,167sqm service area with six work bays as well as two work bays dedicated for EVs.

Aside from being the Gateway Group’s first dealership with the brand, Hyundai Makati is also Asia Pacific’s first outlet to carry the new Hyundai Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) 2.0.

Hyundai Makati is officially the first of five authorized EV dealers in the country. It is equipped with a 22KW AC charger and a 50KW DC charger, with the latter enabling battery capacity to reach 80% from 20% in as fast as 30 minutes.

The other authorized dealerships will be in Alabang, Cebu North, Pampanga, and Pasig. All of them will be prepared for “recovery and repair,” with each carrying specialized battery electric vehicle (BEV) service tools and equipment and standard safety aids

Hyundai Makati adheres to the newest Hyundai Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) 2.0 standard, which aims to curate a refined environment where customers will better enjoy the showroom while discovering the latest Hyundai vehicles without feeling pressure.

There’s a warm and cozy lounge to welcome visitors, a free and unobstructed car display that allows visitors to explore and be at ease, as well as an interactive configuration desk where customers can check various interior and exterior customizations.

The dealership also has an exclusive zone to give visitors a more up-close look of the highlight or themed car, as well as clear and clean consultation rooms for visitors to feel more open and centered.

According to HMPH, 12 of the 39 existing Hyundai dealerships will follow suit by the fourth quarter of this year.
