HONOR has pulled back the curtain on the foldable, featherlight, and future-forward HONOR Magic V5.
Debuting in China with a starting price of RMB 8,999, the Magic V5 is touted as the world’s thinnest and lightest inward-folding smartphone, measuring just 8.8mm thick and weighing only 217g.
At its core is a mobile power breakthrough: the first-ever mass-produced 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, featuring 25% silicon content and an industry-leading energy density of 901Wh/L. It supports 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge,
The Magic V5 also debuts YOYO, HONOR’s AI-powered agentic assistant, designed to maximize productivity across the phone’s expansive 7.95-inch inner screen and 6.43-inch outer display. YOYO leverages the power of MagicOS 9.0.1 and onboard AI to perform tasks like coding, file sharing, and even creating presentations via voice command.
On the durability front, the Magic V5 features IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance, reinforced by a carbon fiber inner display panel, anti-scratchNanoCrystal shield, and an HONOR Super Steel Hinge with 2300MPa tensile strength.
Powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm chipset, the Magic V5 offers top-tier performance with broad 5G band support, ideal for power users and creators. Its HONOR AI Falcon Camera System includes a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, and dual 50MP wide and ultra-wide lenses boosted by AI.
The HONOR Magic V5 is available in Ivory White, Black, Dawn Gold, and Reddish Brown. The device is said to be brought to international markets later this year.
