Reinforcing its commitment to the running community, Garmin is bringing together performance-driven technology, everyday convenience, and race experiences through the launch of the Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 170, the rollout of Garmin Pay in the Philippines, and the arrival of the Garmin Run Marathon Series in Manila.

Designed for runners by runners, the Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 170 pair advanced running tools with comprehensive wellness tracking. Both devices feature vivid AMOLED displays, GPS tracking for pace, distance, and routes, and wrist-based heart rate monitoring. Touchscreen and physical button controls ensure a seamless user experience during workouts.

In addition to running, both smartwatches offer built-in sports apps for activities such as cycling and strength training, making them versatile fitness companions.

Garmin Coach, daily suggested workouts, sleep tracking, HRV status, and training readiness tools help users better understand their performance, recovery, and overall wellness.

Battery performance is designed to support daily use and extended training, reducing the need for frequent charging. The Forerunner 170 also includes Garmin Pay, which allows users to make secure contactless payments directly from their wrist.

The Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 170 are available at Garmin stores nationwide, through the official Garmin website, Kinetic, and Garmin’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.

Garmin is further enhancing its ecosystem with the launch of Garmin Pay in the Philippines. Available on compatible smartwatches, the service—enabled through GoTyme Bank and EastWest Bank and supported by Visa and Mastercard—allows users to make secure tap-and-go transactions without cash, phones, or wallets, adding everyday convenience to active lifestyles.

Completing its ecosystem is the Garmin Run Marathon Series, Garmin’s flagship global running circuit built on international race standards.

Supported by STARLUX Airlines, Shokz, and Ajinomoto’s Amino VITAL, the Garmin Run Philippines will take place on October 25 at the SM MOA Complex, featuring 5K, 10K, and 21K categories. Registration is now open via the official website.

The event will be supported by MYLAPS to provide accurate, professional-grade tracking. As part of the global series, participants may also work toward qualifying for an exclusive, limited-edition 18K gold plated medal by completing 10 races across key participating cities that are a part of the Garmin Run Marathon Series by 2027.
