DHL Express, the world’s leading international express service provider, has added 22 new electric vans to its last-mile delivery operations. This brings the company’s total EV count to nearly 70, representing 35% of its entire fleet—a substantial increase from 24% last year.
This expansion underscores the company’s commitment to its “Green Logistics of Choice” strategic bottom line, a key component of its Strategy 2030. The company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the use of alternative fuels, EVs, and optimized routes.
Since introducing EVs to its Philippine fleet in December 2021, DHL Express has been steadily working towards DHL Group’s global target of electrifying 60% of its pickup and delivery fleet by 2030.
Aside from fleet electrification, DHL Express also offers the GoGreen Plus service, enabling customers to reduce emissions from international air cargo by utilizing sustainable aviation fuel. This is facilitated through partnerships with bp, Neste, and World Energy.
