Inchcape Philippines, the exclusive distributor of Changan in the Philippines, unveiled three electric vehicles and previewed one model at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show.
These include the Changan Nevo Q05 Plug-In Hybrid EV, Nevo Hunter K50 Range-Extended EV, Lumin Battery EV, and the upcoming Nevo A05 Plug-In Hybrid EV.
The Changan Nevo Q05 Plug-In Hybrid EV is a compact SUV featuring full-LED lighting elements, 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels, rectangular LED tail lights, an aerodynamic rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna.
Inside, it comes with two-tone leather seats with power-adjust function for both driver and front passenger. Stay connected with a 10.25” or 12.3” touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and enjoy your favorite tunes through the 6-speaker Pioneer sound system. Convenience is key with wireless charging, multi-color ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a power tailgate.
The Changan Nevo Q05 is powered by a 1.5L BlueCore Range Extender paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission, generating 212hp and 330Nm. It offers three distinct electric driving modes: battery electric, hybrid, and range extended electric. Its Intelligent Energy Management system further optimizes energy use based on driving habits and conditions.
The Changan Nevo Hunter K50, the world’s first range-extended EV pickup, features a borderless grill, 7-shaped LED headlamps, wheel arches in matte black, and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 60 series tires.
The cabin is equipped with 7.5-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8 speakers, wireless charging pad, and power-adjust front seats wrapped in leather.
The Hunter K50 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged BlueCore Range Extender that acts as an electricity generator. The 4×2 variant features a single motor producing 174 hp and 320Nm, while the 4×4 variant boasts a dual-motor setup generating 268hp and 470Nm. On pure electric power, the K50 offers a 180 km range, extending to 1,031 km with the range extender.
For those seeking a fun, affordable, and compact mini vehicle suited for city driving, there’s the Changan Lumin. Round halogen projector headlights and LED position lights enhance both the front and rear, while clever mechanical hidden door handles deploy on demand to reduce drag. Completing the look are 14-inch steel wheels adorned with playful hubcaps.
Inside, the Lumin has essential features for city driving: comfortable tri-color seats, a 2-speaker Bluetooth sound system, and a 7-inch digital display. It offers a practical and spacious cabin with a 104L trunk. For extra space, the rear seats fold flat (50:50 split) to expand the trunk to 580L.
The Lumin is driven by a front-mounted motor, combined with a fixed gear transmission that produces 47hp and 83Nm. It also has two drive mode options: eco and sport.
The Lumin uses a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, available in two sizes: 17.65 kWh (190 km range for the S model) and 28.08 kWh (301 km range for the L model).
The Nevo A05 is a plug-in hybrid compact sedan that Changan will officially launch in the second half of the year.
Inside the Nevo A05, you’re greeted by a premium interior with soft ambient lighting. The seats are wrapped in plush leather, and the driver’s seat is power-adjustable. Other niceties include a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a 13.2-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker sound system, and an electric sunroof.
The Nevo A05 combines a 1.5L BlueCore Range Extender with a dedicated hybrid transmission to generate 212hp and 330Nm of torque.
It features three electric driving modes—battery electric, hybrid, and range extended electric—just like the Changan Q05. Plus, Intelligent Energy Management optimizes energy use based on your driving. The 18.4kWh battery allows for 145km in full EV mode, and the range extender extends the total range to 1,250km.
