Canva has officially made its Canva Education platform freely available to all Department of Education personnel and students in the Philippines with valid DepEd email address.
The nationwide rollout comes on the heels of Canva’s global milestone: over 100 million students and teachers now use the platform monthly. Locally, this follows the October 2024 Memorandum of Understanding signed with DepEd, which has already empowered thousands of public school educators to create more engaging, visually rich teaching materials.
This partnership ensures that every K–12 classroom in the country can now access Canva Education’s full suite of tools—from thousands of education-specific templates to real-time collaboration, content planning, and integrations with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams.
It’s also built with safety and accessibility at its core, ensuring a secure, age-appropriate digital environment for all users.
“This initiative marks a key step in Canva’s broader commitment to advancing education and digital inclusion across Southeast Asia. By starting with the Philippines, we’re taking a meaningful step toward equipping the next generation with intuitive, inclusive, and accessible visual communication tools,” said Yani Hornilla-Donato, Regional Lead for Southeast Asia at Canva.
