Canon Philippines launched its new video-focused camera lineup—the EOS R50 V and PowerShot V1—at an event at Midnight Dream Studios, Glorietta 1.
Over 100 influencers, content creators, and media professionals—including Farrah Espina, Liana of Art and Plan Studio, Karl Patacsil, Jo Escultura, and Gab Altonaga—attended the launch, which featured immersive, hands-on demo areas for livestreaming, podcasting, unboxing, GRWM content, food videos, and more.

The EOS R50 V boasts a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, 4K 60p livestreaming, vertical video support, and pro-grade audio with 3-mic noise reduction. It pairs seamlessly with Canon’s first power zoom lens, the RF-S14-30mm f/4-6.3 IS STM PZ.

Its design includes a streamlined, viewfinder-less body optimized for handheld shooting, gimbal compatibility, and vertical video recording—perfect for social media content.

Meanwhile, the PowerShot V1 packs a large 1.4-inch sensor, built-in ND filter, extended recording capabilities, and professional autofocus features—all within a pocket-sized form factor.

Both cameras support 10-bit Canon Log 3 recording for professional color grading, while enhanced connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and direct PC streaming capabilities.
