Electric vehicle owners in Manila now have a new place to charge their vehicles, with ACMobility opening the city’s first publicly accessible EV charging hub near Manila City Hall on October 19.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Angela Lei “Chi” Ilagan-Atienza, alongside ACMobility representatives, inaugurated the hub located at Kartilya ng Katipunan (also known as the Bonifacio Shrine).

The facility has two chargers: a 22kW AC charger that can charge an EV to up to 80% in at least three hours, and a 30kW DC fast charger that can reach the same level in around 30 minutes to an hour. Actual charging times may vary depending on the vehicle and its battery.

ACMobility also plans to build two more charging hubs at city-run hospitals: the Bagong Ospital ng Maynila and Sta. Ana Hospital. The planned sites will expand public charging access for EV users in the capital.

ACMobility operates the Philippine EV Spine, a nationwide charging network with more than 240 locations and 600 charge points. Its services also include home and business charging solutions, fleet charging, and on-demand charging.
