Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. recently conducted a special off-road certification program by the Yamaha Riding Academy for its motorsports instructors.
The three-day training session was held to further refine the abilities of the participants and expand their knowledge about different off-road motorcycles.
On the third day, after receiving their certification, the instructors applied what they learned by training participants from the YZone and Rev Zone shops.
The program was spearheaded by no less than former motocross and snowmobile champion Yuji Nakazawa of Yamaha Motor Company Japan.
The training course focused on riding posture, perimeter, start and stop, braking, sitting and standing, slalom, small turn, and uphill and downhill.
April King Mascardo, who placed third overall in the 2022 UB150 category of the Asia Road Racing Championship, attended day 1. Off-road champions Bornok Mangosong and Pia Gabriel were also part of the program.
