HUAWEI is bringing its nova 16s Series to the Philippines, with prices starting at P29,999. Dubbed the “King of AI Selfies,” the HUAWEI nova 16s and nova 16s Pro combine advanced camera technology, AI-powered photo editing, 5G connectivity, and a long-lasting battery for creators and everyday users.
Leading the lineup is the nova 16s Pro, which features a dual front-camera system: a 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor. Using pixel-level spectral perception algorithms, its Front True-to-Color Camera detects ambient color temperatures to improve color accuracy and spatial resolution. Its 1/2.5-inch front sensor captures more light, while the industry-first 0.8x–5x selfie zoom accommodates both group shots and close-ups.
At the back is a quad-camera system that includes a 200MP RYYB main camera, 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto, 50MP RYYB ultrawide, and True-to-Color Camera.
Smart AI tools include AI Composition for real-time photography guidance, AI Move for repositioning subjects, AI Remove for erasing unwanted objects, AI De-Glare for reducing reflections, and AI Best Expression for selecting the best facial expressions from multiple shots.
The HUAWEI nova 16s series supports 5G connectivity and features IceBridge Heat Dissipation Architecture for demanding tasks. Its 7000mAh battery and 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo can reach 40% charge in 15 minutes. The 6.68-inch (nova 16s) and 6.84-inch (nova 16s Pro) displays offer an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness.
The nova 16s Pro measures 7.1mm thick, weighs 218g, and pairs an aerospace-grade aluminum frame with Kunlun Glass, rated for 10x higher drop resistance and 5x higher wear resistance than the previous generation. Its Frosted AG Glass back comes in Breathing Crystal, Isle Blue, and Starry Black. The nova 16s comes in Breathing Crystal, Starry Black, and Sky White.
The series runs EMUI 16 and features the Celia AI Assistant and cross-OS file transfers with iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. AppGallery offers apps including GCash, BDO, Shopee, and Grab, alongside access to Google essentials such as Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Meet, and Docs.
