At MWC Barcelona 2026, global tech company Xiaomi returned to the spotlight with a showcase of its AI-driven “Human × Car × Home” smart ecosystem, demonstrating how artificial intelligence is being integrated into everyday life across devices, homes, and mobility.

The ecosystem reflects Xiaomi’s push to move AI beyond screens and into real-world environments. According to Angus Ng, Director of Communications for Xiaomi International, the company’s goal is to make AI more practical and accessible.

“At Xiaomi, AI is designed to serve people in real life,” said Angus Ng, Director of Communications for Xiaomi International. “Through our AI-powered Human x Car × Home smart ecosystem, we are extending intelligence beyond the screen and into everyday life. This marks Xiaomi’s first step toward bringing AI into the physical world—where technology becomes more intuitive, more connected, and seamlessly embedded into how people live, move, and interact.”

At the event, Xiaomi introduced a range of products powering the ecosystem, including the Xiaomi 17 Series and Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi, both developed in close collaboration with legendary camera maker Leica. The lineup also includes AIoT devices, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Series, and smart home appliances under the Mijia brand.

In mobility, Xiaomi highlighted its growing presence in electric vehicles with the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and unveiled the futuristic Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept hypercar, created for the Gran Turismo franchise in collaboration with series creator Kazunori Yamauchi.

A key highlight was Xiaomi Miloco (Xiaomi Local Copilot), the first real-world deployment of Xiaomi’s self-developed foundation model, Xiaomi MiMo. The system brings whole-home intelligence by combining AI reasoning, vision, and multimodal data analysis. It can automatically adjust lighting based on activities, trigger robot vacuum cleaning when clutter is detected, regulate indoor temperatures by recognizing sleep states, and coordinate multiple devices across the home.

Xiaomi also continues expanding its HyperAI ecosystem through collaboration with Google and its Gemini AI model, enabling consistent AI experiences across smartphones, vehicles, and smart home devices.

On the hardware side, Xiaomi previewed a Dynamic Back Display on the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, allowing users to interact with AI through the rear panel for selfies, visuals, and gaming.

Xiaomi also highlighted its growing smart appliance business, with products now available across four najor regions and 14 countries. To support sustainable growth, the company recently launched Phase One of its Smart Home Appliance Factory in Wuhan, expanding its AI-driven manufacturing network alongside its smartphone and EV production facilities.
