Fans of the popular soccer-themed anime series Blue Lock are in for a treat as SM North EDSA, in partnership with Medialink Group, is holding the series’ first-ever pop-up activation at Annex Atrium from September 14 to 29.

Blue Lock, which has sold over 40 million manga copies and garnered numerous awards, tells the story of a rigorous training program designed to create the ultimate striker for Japan’s national soccer team. The recent premiere of Blue Lock: Episode Nagi and the simultaneous release of the movie across Southeast Asia have ignited a wave of soccer fever in the region.

At the pop-up activation, fans can expect to encounter life-sized standees of beloved characters such as Seishiro Nagi and Yoichi Isagi, making for perfect photo opportunities. Exclusive merchandise— including acrylic standees, keychains, A4 folders, bags, and more—are also available for purchase.

Blue Lock, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, debuted in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) in 2018. The manga’s intense matches and deep psychological insights into its characters quickly captivated readers, leading to its immense popularity. The anime adaptation, which premiered in 2022, has brought the high-energy drama and competitive spirit of the manga to life.  

Meanwhile, the movie Blue Lock: Episode Nagi, which launched in July, has been met with great success and enthusiastic reception from fans.
