As businesses look for faster ways to understand what is happening across their retail operations, Ninja Van Philippines is leveraging its nationwide logistics network to provide real-time insights through Ninja FieldSight, an AI-powered retail intelligence platform.

The platform allows businesses to check product availability, monitor shelf execution, validate store visits through geotagged photos, and track competitor activity.

The move comes as businesses face rising logistics costs and increasingly complex operations across physical and online channels. Research cited by the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP) found that delivery costs in Asia-Pacific rose 18.9% year-on-year, while 44% of operators continue to struggle with real-time shipment visibility.

“The next competitive advantage isn’t simply having more data,” SCMAP President Pierre Curay said. “It’s shortening the time between seeing what’s happening and acting on it.”

Ninja Van said FieldSight is designed to address the limitations of traditional retail audits, where information can take weeks or months to reach brands. Its riders can capture store-level information during existing delivery routes, while AI helps validate submissions and consolidate field observations into a centralized dashboard.

Danielle Hung, head of business development at Ninja Van Philippines, said the platform was developed after seeing firsthand how difficult it was for consumer brands to maintain product availability across the country’s retail landscape.

“[B]rands relied on retail audits, but the data often arrived months later, when it was already too late to act,” Hung said.

By using its existing logistics infrastructure rather than requiring brands to build a separate field network, Ninja Van aims to provide faster access to retail data and help businesses identify inventory and execution issues before they affect customers.

The company said the platform reflects a broader shift in logistics, where delivery networks can also serve as sources of operational and market intelligence.
