
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has opened qualifiers for the 2026 TGR Philippines Esports GT Championship, marking the start of its latest esports season following Race Weekend 3 of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup on August 15.
The premier sim racing tournament gives aspiring racers an opportunity to develop their skills in virtual competition, with previous winners eventually making the transition to real-world racing in the TGR Philippine Cup.
This year’s competition introduces a new Junior Class for participants aged 18 and below. Racers aged 19 and above will compete in the Sporting Class.
Qualifiers run from August 17 to September 13. Participants without their own PlayStation can compete onsite at 11 GR performance dealerships nationwide:
- Toyota Makati, Inc.
- Toyota Alabang, Inc.
- Toyota Silang, Cavite
- Toyota San Fernando, Pampanga
- Toyota Calamba, Laguna Inc.
- Toyota Cebu City
- Toyota Otis, Inc.
- Toyota Commonwealth, Inc.
- Toyota Manila Bay
- Toyota Global City
- Toyota Santa Rosa
Those with a PlayStation 4 or 5 can join the online qualifier, provided they have Gran Turismo 7, an active PlayStation Network account, and a PlayStation Plus subscription.
All participants must register online and secure a qualifier schedule.
The 10 fastest Sporting Class and 10 fastest Junior Class racers will advance to the National Finals at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on September 27.
The Sporting and Junior Class champions will earn two of the three spots representing the Philippines at the regional finals. The third representative will be the runner-up from either class with the higher point total after the National Finals.
Both class champions will receive P100,000, while each runner-up will take home P75,000. National finalists will also receive cash prizes and official Gazoo Racing merchandise.
