Aside from the Z Fold4, Samsung also unveiled the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip4 during its Unpacked event in New York.
Like its foldable brother, the Z Flip4 is made to be tougher with a hinge protected by Armor Aluminum and glass panels on the back protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. It’s also IPX8 water-resistant and, like the Z Fold4, has been certified to fold up to 200,000 times.
The phone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED main screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a 1.9-inch cover screen with a 260×512 resolution.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 updated its clamshell-style folding phone with a streamlined design that features a slimmer hinge, straightened edges, and polished metal frames. The phone features a 6.7″ main screen and a 1.9″ cover screen and puts it all into a compact form factor. The phone features a rear dual camera with a 12MP ultra-wide and a 12MP wide-angle while the front features a 10MP selfie camera. The phone also has 8GB of RAM with up to 512GB of storage and a 3,700mAh battery.
As for its shooters, the Z Flip4 comes with a rear dual camera. The optically stabilized 12MP wide-angle main camera has been upgraded and now comes with 1.8µm pixels (up from 1.4µm on the Z Flip3). Meanwhile, the 12MP ultrawide snapper is the same module sitting behind an f/2.4 lens. Completing the camera system is a 10MP selfie shooter.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
There’s also a bigger 3700mAh battery (up from the 3300mAh on the Z Flip3) and up to 25W wired charging, which will get you to 50% in about 30 minutes.

In this case, customers will get a 1-year screen protection (no device protection) with Samsung Care+.
