Design and build
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G manages to feel both sleek and sturdy. At 7.96mm thin and 210g, it’s surprisingly well-balanced, never feeling heavy or awkward in the hand. Its flat sides give it a clean, modern look, while the frame is just thick enough for a secure grip. Our test unit is the Mist Purple variant, which has a subtle marble-like pattern that looks nice. If that’s not your vibe, you can opt for the black or titanium colorway.
Xiaomi brands this as “Titan Tough,” and the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G lives up to that claim. With IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance, it’s designed to handle everyday accidents with ease. Meanwhile. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 ensures the screen remains usable even when the display or your finger is wet or greasy.
As for ports and buttons, Xiaomi keeps things straightforward here: the USB-C port, main speaker, mic, and SIM tray are at the bottom, the secondary speaker and IR blaster up top, and the power and volume buttons on the right.
My only tiny gripe is the oversized rear camera—it sits right where my index finger naturally rests, so it sometimes gets in the way.
Display and speakers
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G sports a large 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and it’s a pleasure to use day to day. Colors look natural, text and images are crisp, and the slim bezels help the screen feel even more immersive. It also gets impressively bright, peaking at up to 3,200 nits, which really shows in outdoor use. I took it along on a morning jog, and even under the harsh 8am sun, checking my playlist and skimming through work emails was effortless.
The dual speakers can get seriously loud with the 400% audio boost, but pushing them all the way isn’t ideal—things start to sound distorted at full blast. Stick to around 80–90% volume and the sound is actually quite pleasant, with clean highs and mids. Bass is still on the weaker side, though Dolby Atmos does help slightly polish the overall sound.
Camera
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G keeps things simple but effective with its camera setup: a 200MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 20MP selfie camera. In everyday use, the main camera is reliable, producing sharp, colorful photos with quick shutter speeds and usable zoom up to 4x.
I also liked how consistent the colors are between the main and ultrawide lenses, which isn’t always a given at this price. High-res mode captures plenty of detail, even when you crop in, and low-light shots come out well balanced thanks to the large 1/1.4-inch sensor.
Portraits look lively with good background separation, and while selfies lean a bit soft, the warm color tuning keeps faces looking natural.
Performance and battery life
Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra processor, the Redmi Note 15 Pro feels snappy and dependable in daily use. The 12GB RAM on our unit (+ 4GB virtual RAM), paired with 256GB of storage, makes it easy to juggle apps, photos, and videos without thinking twice.
It runs HyperOS 2 on top of Android 15, which isn’t the latest version, but in practice, performance remains fluid. Apps launch quickly, switching between tasks feels seamless, and scrolling through social media is consistently smooth.
The phone’s 6580mAh battery easily gets you through a full day and often carries over into the next. Charging at 45W isn’t blazing fast, but it’s consistent, runs cool, and the reverse charging feature comes in handy for topping up smaller devices.
