realme’s C series is known for its pocket-friendly offerings. Apart from basic features, you can expect a few bells and whistles here and there. But the latest addition to the series—the realme C67—looks to be quite different.

This budget-friendly phone has an attractive design, a good feature set, and a 108-megapixel main camera—arguably its hallmark feature. All of these present a compelling package for those looking for an affordable yet feature-rich device.

Design and build

The realme C67 is available in two color variants: Sunny Oasis and Black Rock. Our review unit is the latter, and it looks stunning especially with its brushed metallic finish. The rectangular glossy section housing the oval-shaped camera module adds a touch of elegance.

On the right edge of the phone are the volume rocker and the power key/side-mounted fingerprint reader. On the left are two SIM slots and a dedicated microSD slot, while the bottom houses a 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C port, and dual speakers.

Weighing just 185grams and measuring 7.59mm, the realme C67 is easy to carry around and slip in your jeans pocket or small bag. The robust plastic build adds a sense of sturdiness, and the inclusion of IP54 dust and water resistance enhances its practicality for everyday use.

Display and audio

The phone’s 6.72-inch FHD+ display has a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 950 nits, making it serviceable outdoors. There’s also a Dynamic Island-inspired Mini Capsule 2.0. Aside from showing notifications, you can now interact with it via taps. When playing music, for example, it shows the track that’s currently playing and you can tap it to pause or skip to the next track.

On the audio front, the dual speakers definitely contribute to an enhanced multimedia experience. They sound significantly better compared to single bottom-firing speakers, giving you a balanced soundstage.

Camera

realme equipped the C67 with a 108MP main camera—a first in the C series—and it uses an ISOCELL HM6 sensor, which is something that’s usually found in pricier mid-range devices.

In well-lit settings, the realme C67’s main camera captures sharp and clear images with vibrant colors. Switching to Hi-Res mode allows you to fully utilize the 108MP capacity of the main shooter.

As expected, the quality of the photos goes down in poorly lit environments. Images appear somewhat filtered, and details are smoothed out to minimize graininess.

The 3x in-sensor zoom offers versatility, but some images taken at 3x and 5x lack vibrancy and dynamic range. We also wish realme added an ultrawide option on this phone. Alas, there’s none.

Here are some photos we took:

Performance and battery

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset, the realme C67 delivers reliable performance for day-to-day use. Our review unit comes with 8GB of RAM, which is virtually expandable by another 8GB along with 256GB of storage (P10,999). Another variant—8+128GB—is priced at P9,999.

The 5000mAh battery can easily last 1.5 days with light to moderate use. Using the charger that came with the box, the realme C67 was able to charge from zero to full in about 80 minutes.

Speed says

The realme C67 emerges as a strong contender in the budget smartphone segment, combining an appealing design, good display, capable camera, and reliable performance. While there are minor drawbacks, such as the absence of an ultrawide camera, the C67 offers good value for users seeking a budget-friendly device with a compelling feature set.
