OPPO Philippines and Discovery have partnered with the Department of Tourism to highlight the T’boli community in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, through a short film captured entirely on the OPPO Reno14 Series 5G.
The project is part of Discovery’s Culture in a Shot program, under the 2025 theme “Celebrate the Moment,” which has previously featured communities in 15 countries and regions.
The collaboration aims to document and preserve the living cultural practices of the T’boli. Using the Reno14 Series 5G’s advanced camera system and AI imaging, OPPO captured intricate details of T’boli artistry in true-to-life color and texture.
Production was coordinated with DOT Region XII and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, with activities conducted under the guidance and free, prior, and informed consent of T’boli elders.
The short film highlights sacred T’nalak weaving guided by the spirit of Fu Dalu, as well as the symbolic brasswork of Sesotunawa, reflecting the T’boli’s enduring creativity, resilience, and pride. More than a tech showcase, the initiative underscores OPPO’s commitment to purposeful innovation, cultural heritage preservation, and community upliftment.
The film will be featured on the 3D billboard at One Bonifacio High Street, where viewers can experience it in large format and learn more about the makers and their craft.
Fans are invited to participate in the Make Your Moment challenge by posting creative photos or videos with the installation on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to get a chance to win an OPPO Reno14 F 5G in Glossy Pink.
