Samsung is fulfilling its promise to provide Galaxy AI features to over 100 million users in 2024 with the One UI 6.1 update, which will begin its rollout at the end of March.

The update will be available across the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. Aligning with the recently launched Galaxy S24 series, this update enhances the mobile AI experience by combining on-device and cloud-based AI technologies.

More Galaxy users can now enjoy the communication-enhancing Galaxy AI features available on AI-supported models. These features include adjusting message tones and translating messages into 13 languages using Chat Assist. Users can also experience real-time interactions through Live Translate, which offers voice and text translations for phone calls. Additionally, Interpreter allows users to engage in spontaneous conversations with locals while traveling, as the split-screen feature provides text translations for live conversations.

The broader integration of Galaxy AI across the Galaxy ecosystem also enables seamless user experience in day-to-day tasks. Features like Circle to Search with Google enhance search functions, providing intuitive results with a quick circle gesture.

Organization tools such as Note Assist help users format, summarize, and translate notes, while Browsing Assist offers quick summaries of news articles. Meanwhile, Transcript Assist simplifies transcription and provides summaries and translations for meeting recordings.

Galaxy’s latest update also delivers a suite of Galaxy AI tools that encourages creative freedom even after a photo is taken. With Generative Edit, supported devices can easily adjust, resize, or reposition objects in photos. Edit Suggestion allows users to polish photos quickly and easily, while Instant Slow-mo generates extra frames for slow-motion videos, eliminating the need for multiple shots to capture action-packed moments.
