Monde Nissin Corporation is advancing its sustainability and inclusive growth agenda with the launch of Monde Fresh Express, a new bread distribution initiative powered by electric vehicles (EVs) and anchored on local “salespreneurs.”
“With Monde Fresh Express, we’re proving that we can deliver growth while also delivering cleaner air, greener cities, and more inclusive opportunities for Filipinos,” said Henry Soesanto, CEO of Monde Nissin Corporation. “Sustainability is not a side initiative for us—it is at the core of how we grow responsibly.”
The program redefines last-mile delivery by adopting electric vans, which cut carbon emissions and reduce noise pollution while enabling high-frequency, multi-stop servicing ideal for dense urban communities. This cleaner logistics system also empowers micro-entrepreneurs to thrive as bread distributors.
“This project is a clear example of how business and social value can intersect. By optimizing logistics through clean transport, we’re also unlocking opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship,” said Rizza Cajucom-Uy, Chief Sustainability Officer, Monde Nissin Corporation

As of July, salespreneurs are operating under the new model with a pilot test in Luzon. Monde Nissin aims to expand further, additional entrepreneur-dealers are set to onboard this August. The company is seeing growing interest from local partners and communities, signaling strong potential for scaled impact.
To support this transformation, Monde Nissin has deployed a fleet of electric vans for its urban delivery routes. These vehicles are supplied and supported by a trusted BYD dealer in the north and are well-suited for short-haul, high-frequency deliveries.
Monde Fresh Express also addresses bread spoilage—an industry challenge given the short shelf life of baked goods. Frequent deliveries ensure fresher products, minimize food waste, and enhance profitability for small-scale distributors.
The initiative supports Monde Nissin’s broader environmental goals, including a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas intensity by 2025. With manufacturing facilities already powered by 100% renewable energy, the addition of EVs marks another milestone in the company’s mission of “Making Better Possible.”
