MediCard Philippines, the healthcare arm of AIA Philippines, strengthens its commitment to helping Filipinos live healthier, longer, and better lives through its enhanced Livewell Lifestyle Management Program—a personalized care initiative designed to support members managing chronic health conditions.
Developed in partnership with Singapore-based health technology and analytics company Amplify Health, the program is powered by the AMPED app, a digital platform that connects users with doctors, nutritionists, coaches, and support services anytime and anywhere.
“Livewell is designed to give MediCard members timely, personalized support whenever they need it,” said MediCard CEO Julian Mengual. “It helps individuals achieve their health goals in ways that are practical and relevant to their daily lives, while delivering a more seamless and accessible care experience.”
The program offers a holistic and long-term approach to managing conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease.
Members receive one-on-one support through video consultations and unlimited text-based coaching, direct access to a lead dietitian, and digital tools including AI-powered meal logging, food ratings, activity and sleep tracking, and personalized health goals. Participants can also monitor biomarker trends, weight updates, and progress summaries.
All coaches are based in the Philippines and are trained in lifestyle management, providing support in both English and Tagalog.
Registered Dietitian Emma Perida said patient success is driven by clear goals and continuous support. “Patients stay consistent because of the milestones we set together,” she said, emphasizing the value of regular follow-ups and personalized coaching.
Dr. Mary Joanne Ramos, MediCard’s Head of Medical Governance and Capability, highlighted the program’s focus on sustainable behavior change. She said successful health management requires what she calls the “three C’s”: continuous effort, consistent healthy habits, and complete adherence to medication and follow-up care.
Livewell reinforces these principles through one-on-one coaching, progress tracking, program summary reports, and more to help the patients in the health journey.
