Remember when carrying a compact digital camera was part of going on vacation? YASHICA is bringing some of that old-school appeal back with the new YASHICA Crew, while giving it features that make sense for today’s creators and travelers.
The compact camera comes with a 3-inch 180° flip screen that makes it easier to capture group photos, selfies, vlogs, and shots from different angles. It also has a retractable 6x optical zoom lens, letting you move between wide scenes and distant subjects without relying solely on digital zoom. There’s also a 3x digital zoom, though, should you need additional reach.
Despite the zoom lens, the Crew is designed to stay easy to carry. It measures 10 x 2.6 x 6cm with the lens retracted and 10 x 5.3 x 6cm with the lens extended, while weighing just 126g without the battery. When switched off, the lens retracts completely into the body, making it easy to slip into a pocket or small bag.
The camera captures photos at up to 36MP, with 24MP and 13MP native options. For video, it records native 2.7K, with support for up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60fps.
A removable 700mAh lithium-ion battery lets users carry a spare for longer shooting days.
The YASHICA Crew is priced at $168 and comes in black and silver. No word yet whether YASHICA authorized dealers in the Philippines will carry this compact camera.
