JAC Philippines officially unveiled the all-new Ytterby electric vehicle last September 26 at the newly inaugurated JAC Pasig dealership.
The vehicle, which was first showcased at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show, embodies JAC’s futuristic “Bubble Aesthetics Design” philosophy.
It features large LED headlights with circular daytime running lights and a sleek and aerodynamic exterior complemented by small, functional openings in the lower bumper for airflow optimization. The rear of the EV features blacked-out D-pillar and large square LED taillights, while the side profile is nehanced by tri-color petal wheels and electrically retractable door handles.
The EV is also equipped with a 1.45-meter skylight, made using JAC’s laminated Low-E glass, which the company says not only lets in natural light but also minimizes heat gain, glare, and harmful UV radiation.
The Ytterby comes in two variants. The Air 405 can travel up to 405 kilometers on a 41-kWh battery pack and an electric motor producing 94hp and 135Nm.
Meanwhile, the PRO 505 offers a 505km range with a 51.5-kWh battery with power increased to 134hp and 175Nm.
A DC fast charger can recharge the Ytterby’s battery from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, while a 7kWh home charger fully charges the battery in 7.5 to 9 hours, depending on the model.
The mini EV earned a five-star safety rating from C-NCAP. Aside from the standard front, side, and curtain airbags, a seatbelt-off warning, and child-restraint anchors, the Ytterby also features a zero-thermal-runaway honeycomb battery that can handle major collisions without catching fire. It’s also equipped with a 3-in-1 intelligent braking system that can help prevent a road crash.
In addition, the PRO 505 variant features Level 2 Assisted Driving that not only intervenes in case of an imminent collision, but also allows owners to enjoy long trips with greater comfort.
The all-new JAC Ytterby is now available at all JAC Philippines dealerships and comes in five colors: beige, purple, blue, white, and gray:
- Air 405: P1,195,000
- PRO 505: P1,320,000
Both come with 6-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, 8-year/150,000km warranty on main power battery and integrated electric drive assembly, and a free 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance for the first year. The units come with a free portable charger and a free home charger.
