Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) is supporting youth football development in the country through a series of local activities tied to the Hyundai Cup 2026, the 16th ASEAN Football Championship.

As title partner of the regional tournament, HMPH has rolled out initiatives aimed at giving young footballers more opportunities to train, compete, and experience the sport.

From July 4 to 15, HMPH turned over football equipment, including balls and ball carts, to The Younghusband Football Academy, Imus Football Academy, and the De La Salle Zobel Football Team to support their local programs.

The automaker then hosted the inaugural Hyundai Cup 2026 Fun Day at Vermosa Sports Hub on July 18 in partnership with BPI-MS. Seventy-five young footballers from the participating camps took part in training sessions led by Philippine Youth National Team coaches, headed by Philippine Football Federation Head of Youth Development Coach Tetsuya Tsuchida. The event also included friendly matches.

The activities gave selected participants the chance to take their involvement in the tournament a step further. Twenty-two standout young players were chosen as Kids Escorts for the Philippines’ first Hyundai Cup 2026 home game against Myanmar at New Clark City Athletics Stadium on July 28, where they accompanied both teams onto the field.

HMPH is also offering dealer test-drive activities featuring the Hyundai Creta and Stargazer, the hero models of the Hyundai Cup 2026, through August 31.
