With fuel costs cutting into daily earnings of transport and delivery professionals, Grab Philippines is stepping in with P350 million in assistance for its drivers and delivery riders.

The Grab Bayanihan Fuel Crisis Support Program introduces added incentives, on-the-spot bonuses, and commission rebates to help partners cope with rising expenses. These efforts have lowered commission rates for car services to 15 percent, giving drivers a better chance to sustain their livelihoods.

Rebates are distributed through Grab Turbo, a new feature that helps driver-partners earn more by offering faster and more flexible incentives.

To further promote transparency, the company has also launched a Digital Earnings Tracker, which enables GrabCar drivers to view detailed breakdowns of fares, commissions, incentives, and both gross and net earnings.

Support extends to delivery riders as well. Grab has rolled out spot bonuses for completed delivery trips, with total delivery rider bonus outlays exceeding P50 million as of mid-April. Riders can also access bicycle subsidies if they opt to shift to bike-based deliveries.

Driver- and delivery-partners may also qualify for various platform rewards, including grocery credits, fuel subsidies, and medical vouchers, depending on their performance tier.

“When fuel prices rise, livelihoods are the first to feel it, and platforms like ours carry a responsibility to respond with the scale and speed that the moment requires,” said Grab Philippines Managing Director Ronald Roda . “The P350 million we have mobilized is resilience, designed to keep our driver- and delivery-partners on the road and their families steady through the crisis. This is what a platform is for, and it is the role Grab intends to keep playing as the country navigates the fuel crisis.”

Grab is also working with partners such as Seaoil and Shell to provide fuel discounts. Through these collaborations, including support for MOVE IT riders, over P2 million in fuel savings has been recorded, alongside P1 million in rebates distributed via Shell Fleet Cards backed by Grab’s financial arm.

Looking further ahead, Grab pointed to its newly launched Eco-Drive Initiative as a cornerstone of its longer-term strategy. The program, unveiled in April 2026, brings together BDO and BPI; global automakers such as Toyota, BYD, and GAC; and automotive distributors such as Autohub Group and QSJ Motors Phil to give TNVS drivers fast-tracked access to electric and hybrid vehicles through preferential “green” auto loans, flexible daily repayments via the Grab Driver Wallet, and exclusive vehicle discounts.
