Globe is set to launch a new service for Globe Prepaid customers that will allow them to upgrade their physical SIM cards to eSIMs while retaining their current phone numbers.
“This new offer is part of our drive for wider adoption of eSIM. We’re not just keeping up with the digital needs of our customers, we’re propelling them into the future of connectivity,” said Givielle Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid.
The upgrade process is designed for maximum convenience. Globe Prepaid users can upgrade their SIMs through the GlobeOne app, which features a built-in compatibility check to ensure your device is eSIM-ready.
Once confirmed, the app streamlines the entire process—from purchase to download and installation. The upgrade fee is only P99.
To upgrade your physical SIM to an eSIM, simply go to the GlobeOne app, click on SIM Hub > Change SIM > eSIM and follow the on-screen instructions on your device. Then install the eSIM by scanning the QR code from your email and enjoy your new eSIM with the same mobile number.
This follows the successful introduction of eSIMs for Globe Prepaid subscribers earlier this year, creating an end-to-end digital experience for its customers.
