For one day only, Filipinos can enjoy the big-screen experience for just P100 as the country marks its first-ever Philippine National Cinema Day on September 12.
Organized by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP) with industry and government partners, the one-day celebration brings cinema exhibitors together under the theme, “One Industry. One Message. One Big Day.”
Participating cinemas will offer P100 admission tickets for regular 2D cinemas, giving moviegoers the opportunity to watch local productions, international releases, blockbuster titles, and family favorites at a special price.
The promotional rate will apply to all movies scheduled for exhibition on September 12, whether local or international, subject to MTRCB classifications, cinema schedules, and theater capacity.
As of press time, movies currently showing include Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The End of Oak Street, The Odyssey, Insidious: Out of the Further, Hope, Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, Practical Magic 2, Fall 2: Deadpoint, and Filipino classics such as Himala and Anak.
Participating cinemas span major theater chains from Luzon to Mindanao, including Ayala Malls Cinemas, SM Cinema, Robinsons Movieworld, Megaworld Cinemas, Cinema 2000, Parallax Inc. / Vista Cinemas, Citymall Cinemas, and and FACI..
Supporting the nationwide celebration are the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), and the Metro Manila Film Festival through the MMDA.
Advance ticket sales will begin on September 10 at 10am. Tickets will be available through participating cinema box offices, official websites, mobile applications, and authorized ticketing platforms.
Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to theater capacity.
