With many Filipinos feeling the strain of higher commuting and living costs, foodpanda Philippines is offering a helping hand through its Panda-Malasakit Project. The platform recently launched a Libreng Sakay (free ride) for commuters and a Double Tipping program that gives delivery riders an earnings boost.

From May 29 to June 11, four pink foodpanda jeepneys will provide free rides during peak hours along selected Metro Manila routes, including SM Fairview to Cubao, Monumento to Baclaran, and Alabang to Mall of Asia. The program aims to help ease commuting costs while offering a more convenient travel experience for passengers.

Commuters can also expect surprise treats and special activities onboard the jeepneys throughout the campaign. Participating jeepney drivers will likewise receive fuel and grocery assistance as part of the initiative.

Meanwhile, foodpanda brought back its Double Tipping program from May 29 to 31 following a successful Labor Day run. Under the program, the company matched every customer tip made through the app, effectively doubling the additional earnings received by delivery partners.

The efforts form part of the broader Panda-Malasakit Project, the company’s purpose-driven campaign designed to provide meaningful support across its community during a time of rising costs and everyday challenges.
