DENZA has unveiled the all-electric Z at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, introducing a 1,582-hp supercar that can recharge its battery from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes.

The new flagship performance model marks DENZA’s entry into the electric supercar segment, combining high-performance engineering with the latest technologies from parent company BYD Group.

It made its public debut with BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li and Formula One World Champion Jenson Button, with the lineup confirmed to include Coupe, Spider, and Racing variants, alongside a Special Edition that will attempt Nürburgring Nordschleife lap records later this year.

Built on DENZA’s new e3 Sports Car Platform, the Z features a triple-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 1,582 hp and 1,240 Nm of torque. The Coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.25 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h, while the Racing variant cuts the sprint to 1.96 seconds with optional semi-slick tires and increases top speed to 350 km/h.

The DENZA also features BYD’s FLASH Charging technology, enabling the second-generation Blade Battery to charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes.

The supercar also debuts DENZA’s new e3 Sports Car Platform, along with DiSus-M suspension, Cell-to-Body battery integration, and a triple-motor torque control system designed to sharpen handling and driving dynamics.

Styled under DENZA’s “Technology Drives Elegance” design philosophy, the four-seat supercar pairs an aerodynamic exterior with a premium cabin featuring carbon-fiber accents, 8.88-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch infotainment system, a Devialet sound system, and a digital rear-view mirror.

The Z will be available in Coupe, Spider, and Racing variants. The Coupe and Spider share the same core powertrain, with the latter offering an open-top design, while the Racing model adds dedicated track-focused aerodynamic, cooling, and suspension upgrades for higher performance.

The Z also comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including multiple airbags and advanced driver-assistance systems such as Driver Fatigue and Distraction Monitoring, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Brake, Lane Departure Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Detection.

The Coupe, Spider and Racing versions of the Z will be available order this summer in selected markets, with first deliveries expected to reach customers before the end of the year.
