From a single cleanup in Batangas to a nationwide wave of action, Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” campaign is proving how small steps can spark big change.
Now on its third year, the campaign has grown to six sites—Manila, Batangas, Subic, Davao, Zamboanga, and General Santos City—uniting thousands of volunteers for the shared mission of cleaner, healthier seas.
This year’s campaign gained new momentum during the Manila fan meet of brand ambassador Park Seo Joon, where fans from across the country donated plastic bottles in support of the cause. Building on this energy, Century Tuna brought together communities, organizations, and individuals nationwide to raise awareness, drive action, and champion marine conservation.

This year, the campaign drew over 8,200 volunteers—a remarkable leap from last year’s 205. Volunteers came from various groups such as the local government units, Porto Novo, The Asri, and Pier Uno group of divers, the Philippine Marine Corps, Century Tuna Superbods, employees of Century Pacific Food Inc. (CPFI), and like-minded friends.
“Our product comes from the sea, and without healthy oceans, we have nothing,” said Carlo Endaya, Century Pacific Food Inc.’s Vice President and General Manager of the Branded Tuna Division.
“This isn’t just about a one-day cleanup, but about raising awareness and creating something sustainable through Aling Tindera and the plastic circular economy. Each piece of plastic collected can be transformed into livelihood opportunities, while keeping it out of the ocean,” he added.
Through expanded partnerships with HOPE’s Aling Tindera waste-to-cash program, government agencies, and brands such as Shakey’s, Vita Coco, Beach Hut, and Peri-Peri, the campaign collected 1,386 kilograms of plastic waste, quadrupling last year’s total.
