BYD Cars Philippines has officially launched the all-new BYD Sealion 7, a fully electric performance SUV that combines sports car-like acceleration with the practicality and comfort Filipino families look for in a modern crossover.
Bringing the sleek and high-powered engineering DNA of the popular Seal EV sedan into a larger SUV package, the Sealion 7 is designed for drivers who want premium technology, everyday usability, and serious performance in one vehicle.
Powering the Sealion 7 is a dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) setup that produces an impressive 523hp and 690Nm of torque. The result is sports car-level acceleration, with the SUV capable of sprinting from 0 to 100kph in just 4.5 seconds. Drivers can also choose from four drive modes depending on road conditions and driving preferences.
At the heart of this performance is the 82.6kWh BYD Blade Battery, which delivers a maximum cruising range of 542km under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). That is roughly equivalent to driving from Baguio to Parañaque and back on a single charge.
The Sealion 7 measures 4,830mm long, 1,925mm wide, and 1,620mm tall, giving it a spacious cabin loaded with premium features. Inside, you get power and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, and a power tailgate with kick sensor functionality for easier hands-free loading. A front trunk also adds extra storage space for improved practicality.
The cabin features a large 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a Heads Up Display (HUD), and voice assistant functions. The SUV also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing owners to power external appliances directly from the vehicle.
Safety features include the DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which bundles a 360-degree camera with see-through mode, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Assistance (LDA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and Driver Attention Warning (DAW).
Priced at P2,588,000, the BYD Sealion 7 AWD comes with a 6-year/160,000km bumper-to-bumper warranty and an 8-year/160,000km warranty for the BYD Blade battery.
Customers who purchase a BYD Sealion 7 through BPI, will be able to enjoy an all-in low downpayment of P388,000 with 1-year free comprehensive insurance until June 30.
