BYD Cars Philippines continues to expand its electric vehicle lineup in the country with the introduction of the Seagull.
This sub-B-segment passenger car offers a combination of affordability, practicality, and impressive range. It’s being offered with an introductory price of P898,000, which already includes both a portable charger and a 7kW wall box charger.
The Seagull is equipped with a 30kWh BYD Blade Battery that churns out 74hp and 135Nm and provides a range of 300 kilometers between charges. With DC fast charging capability, it can top up from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a full charge using the wall box takes five hours.
The car’s compact size and efficient electric motor also make it ideal for urban driving. Despite its small footprint, the Seagull offers a surprisingly spacious interior, thanks to its generous wheelbase-to-length ratio.
Inside, the EV gets a 10.1-inch rotating infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. There’s also a wireless charger, four-speaker system, and automatic climate control.
The Seagull is equipped with auto on/off LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels with 175/55R16 tires, variable intermittent front wipers, and heated sideview mirrors.
In terms of safety, it has four airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, parking sensor, rearview camera, and tire pressure sensors.
Available in Apricity White, Delan Black, and Sprout Green, the BYD Seagull comes with a 6-year/150,000km bumper-to-bumper warranty, an 8-year/150,000km electric motor warranty, and an 8-year/160,000km battery warranty.
