ACMobility and Robinsons Malls are teaming up to make electric vehicle charging more accessible across the Philippines. By rolling out charging stations in busy mall locations, especially in key provincial areas, the partnership aims to reduce range anxiety and support the growing shift toward sustainable transportation.
“As one of the country’s leading mall operators, Robinsons enables us to further scale our EV network through the deployment of charging infrastructure in highly accessible, high-traffic locations,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility.
“This partnership supports our broader goal of building a reliable, nationwide charging backbone that addresses range anxiety, strengthens connectivity between cities and provinces, and gives more Filipinos the confidence to adopt EVs as part of their everyday mobility,” she added.
As part of the initial rollout, 10 EV charging hubs will be launched and fully operational by the first quarter of the year. Each hub will feature two 22kW charge points, except for Robinsons Butuan, which will be equipped with two 7kW charge points. Five hubs are already operational at Robinsons malls in Ilocos Norte in Luzon; Iloilo, Roxas, and Dumaguete in the Visayas; and Pagadian in Mindanao
Additional locations are set to open soon in Luzon and the Visayas, including Robinsons Tuguegarao, Santiago, La Union, and Antique. In Mindanao, new hubs will rise in Robinsons Iligan, Butuan, and Valencia,.
This partnership reinforces ACMobility’s commitment to developing a robust EV Spine Network that ensures convenient access to charging stations nationwide, from Pagudpud in Luzon to Pagadian in Mindanao.
All stations under the network can be easily located using ACMobility’s partner e-mobility service provider, Evro.
