Acer unveiled at its next@acer global press event in Berlin, Germany a machine that blurs the lines between solo and multiplayer, offering a truly immersive and shared experience.
Project DualPlay, a Predator concept laptop, offers a versatile and shared PC gaming experience so players have more ways to enjoy their favorite AAA titles.
At the heart of Project DualPlay is its touchpad, which doubles as a built-in detachable wireless controller. Gamers can easily remove the controller from its electromagnetic lock and begin playing with a new level of freedom. There are also two 5W pop-out speakers on the sides of the laptop that further bring games to life.
For fans of multiplayer gaming, Project DualPlay offers the ability for a second player to seamlessly join the action.
The detachable controller can be further separated into two joysticks, making it perfect for head-to-head combat. This feature allows friends and family to join in the fun, turning the laptop into a battle station. Gamers can also switch seamlessly between keyboard and controller gaming.
Customizable 360-degree dynamic RGB lighting on the keyboard, screen bezels, and touchpad adds a touch of personality.
Acer did not disclose any specific information regarding Project DualPlay’s capabilities or how much it would cost should Acer pursue this project.
