Global ICT solutions provider ZTE recently celebrated the second China-Philippines Friendship Open Day in its new office in the Philippines.

The event commemorated the partnership between the two countries, highlighting the growth of Chinese businesses and their significant contributions to the economic, livelihood, and technological development of the Philippines.

Gracing the event were guests from the Chinese embassy and the Philippine government, as well as ZTE Philippines’ management team.

The China-Philippines Friendship Open Day featured Chinese cultural activities such as the Kung Fu dance and the zongzi making activity. The event also displayed milestones of ZTE business programs in the Philippines.

The event also reinforced ZTE’s commitment to the Philippines, through its S.T.A.R. (Skills, Talent, Attitude, Responsibility) Internship Program. Three students from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) received the formal offer of internship, which the company bestows to academically deserving engineering, information systems, and information technology students. Telecommunications company DITO, for their part, reaffirmed the commitment with a 5G CPE Equipment donation to UST.

“ZTE Philippines will continue to foster this friendship and promote cooperation between our two countries. Together, we can achieve higher goals, create more opportunities, and pave the way for a better future for China and the Philippines,” said Jin Zhichao, CTO of ZTE Philippines.

“I sincerely thank the Filipino people for their continuous support and trust in ZTE. We are proud to be a part of this incredible country and are committed to making a positive impact. Let us continue to work together, uphold the values of friendship, responsibility and contribution, and jointly create a better future for China and the Philippines,” he added.
