UnionBank rolls out dollar-dispensing ATMs

UnionBank has deployed dollar-dispensing ATMs in at least three locations, making it the first local bank with such machines.

According to a press release, UnionBank installed its first dollar-dispensing ATM on July 6 at its headquarters in Pasig City.

Shortly afterwards, the second and third were installed at its Greenhills and Cebu Wealth branches.

These machines are able to dispense $100 denominations for UnionBank customers with US dollar accounts with no withdrawal fees.

In the coming months, the bank said it will deploy more dollar-dispensing ATMs in branches of areas that are “frequented by UnionBank US Dollar account holders with intensive US dollar transaction requirements.”
