As we previously reported, Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) is putting the spotlight on its new energy vehicles (NEVs) at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors equipped with a 19.27kWh ternary lithium battery. This is mated to a 3-speed DHT (dedicated hybrid transmission) and has a combined power output of 322hp and 545Nm. It can travel 80km on pure EV mode.

The hybrid setup allows drivers to switch between EV Mode for short trips and gasoline or hybrid modes for long distance travels.

The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is equipped with around view monitors, six airbags, and Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). They also have a Sony 8-speaker audio system, dual 12.3-inch HD instrument panel and infotainment system with intelligent voice command, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

Other features include auto-dimming rearview mirror, multi-color ambient lighting with music rhythmic function, dual zone climate control, wireless mobile charger, panoramic sunroof, automatic LED front lighting system, integrated load-bearing roof rails, and 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is indicatively priced at P1.8 million.

Meanwhile, the fully electric eQ7 is a compact SUV with a driving range of more than 500km.

This new addition to Chery’s NEV lineup has an all-aluminum body with an aerodynamic design. This is supported by an active grill system that intelligently closes or opens according to running conditions to effectively save on energy.

The eQ7 adopts an upgraded lithium iron phosphate battery, which has passed the test of the highest waterproof grade IPX9K. Meantime, the dual armor protection creates the safest battery in its class.

There’s also a dual-zone air conditioning system with an air quality feature and customizable fragrance option, dual 12.3-inch screens, and a luxurious interior.

The eQ7 has an L2+ semi-autonomous driving system with an Advanced Driver Assistance system, making driving easier and safer in various scenarios. It also includes a Driver Monitoring System for real-time monitoring of the driver’s condition, ensuring safety during long-distance trips.

The fully electric SUV is pegged at P2 million
