SM Megamall welcomes the holiday season with a chess-inspired Christmas display, a 45-foot tree, and a lineup of festive activities for families and shoppers.

Launched on October 16, Mega Holidays 2026: The Royal Court of Christmas transforms the mall’s Mega Fashion Hall into a holiday kingdom inspired by the elegance of chess. The display features a red-and-white checkered floor, oversized chess pieces in ruby red, champagne gold, and pearl white, and a towering Christmas tree decorated to match the regal theme.

At the center of this year’s celebration is The Royal Court of Christmas, an original musical presented by Repertory Philippines, featuring theater performers Kayla Rivera, Markki Stroem, and Emilia Fuglister. The story follows a young girl who discovers a gift beneath the Christmas tree and finds herself transported to a chess-inspired kingdom. With help from the Jester, Royal Bard, and Kingsguard, she helps the King and Queen bring the kingdom’s Christmas tree to life.

The production also marks the first time SM Megamall’s Christmas musical features a live orchestral score by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.
