SM Supermalls is set to kick off 2026 with a major employment push in Mindanao as SM City Zamboanga hosts a two-day Job Fair on January 16 and 17 at the Zamboanga City Coliseum.
Running from 9am to 4pm, the two-day job fair will offer more than 400 job openings from over 20 employers across retail, food and beverage, customer service, operations, and support services.
Organized in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office–Zamboanga City and the Department of Labor and Employment Region IX, the event is expected to draw over 5,000 applicants, with more than 4,000 already pre-registered as of this week.
The Zamboanga job fair launches SM Supermalls’ 2026 nationwide Job Fair program, building on a landmark 2025 that saw 198 job fairs held across the country. Last year’s initiatives connected more than 117,000 job seekers with over 6,000 employers, resulting in more than 15,000 hired-on-the-spot.
Beyond recruitment, SM Job Fairs have grown into a full-scale career platform by integrating government services, skills training, and digital upskilling into a single, accessible venue—helping reduce barriers to employment and future-proof the Filipino workforce.
